"My problems started with going somewhere that gave me an expensive hair topper to blend in with my natural hair which was very thin due to hereditary hair loss. "I started losing my hair at the top crown and front sides about 18 months ago, I started with a very small 2.5 x 3.5-inch clip in human hair topper to start with.  As my loss was slowly getting larger it was becoming very painful to clip in.  I decided to go for a bigger human hair topper with a bigger under cap, so the cap would clip onto the stronger hair.

"I purchased an 18-inch long Remy human hair topper, the base size was 7.5 x 7.5 inches.  All toppers can look natural if you get a good colour match and you pick the correct density for what your needs are. 

"What you need above all things, the most important thing is a decent stylist to transform your piece.  I was completely clueless. These pieces can cost a lot of money and it needs to be done right, a bad cut will ruin it and your money is wasted, you could be left feeling deflated. It’s a big and brave decision to accept your hair loss and

"I found Mark online, he’s very local to me and we had a chat by messenger and phone. It’s not like you clip the piece on your head and get it cut.  Mark explained that there’s a lot of work to do. I called into Mark’s salon with the hairpiece and Mark explained in great detail what he does. He patiently went through the layers 1 cm at a time and blades the hair to different lengths, this is done to ensure that the hair moves like normal hair does. Mark explained the hair on our head is at different stages of growth due to natural daily shedding. The piece I had was all the same length, 18 inches long, like Morticia Adams. It needed work. 

"Mark prepped my topper in advance and I went for the fit. Mark patiently and meticulously trimmed and blended the topper to the length and style I wanted. It wasn’t a quick process, it was done with patience and care. Mark was very focused on ensuring he created the style I wanted, explaining all that he was doing and ensuring I was happy. I’m not just happy, I’m ecstatic! I’m delighted, I’m blown away... I was confident it would look nice, but it’s so much better than nice. I’m transformed, WOW.. you’d never know this wasn’t all my hair.  It feels, looks, swishes and sways like a normal person’s hair. I feel transformed, my hair makeover is just amazing. I’m beaming with delight. I really am. Mark put me at ease from the first contact. I deliberated in going to my regular salon, which I’m happy with.
